Arrive into Dublin Airport where you will be greeted by the Walker Wellness team. From there, we will travel to Adare, Co. Limerick for exploration of 12th century village and lunch. We will travel to Killarney for dinner in a local restaurant and our overnight accommodations.
Today we will do a tour of the Ring of Kerry which includes a stop at Bog Village Museum with wolfhounds and Kerry Bog Ponies, a sheepdog demo, mountain drive, and lunch by the sea at Waterville. After lunch we will stop for souvenirs and a waterfall at Sneem, then national Park, Ladies' View and the Torc waterfall, as well as the famous lakes - top and bottom! We will enjoy an evening meal in a local restaurant and then watch a Celtic Steps dance and music show.
We will begin the day with Shannon Ferry - Lahinch, Co. Clare. We will enjoy food at an award-winning vegetarian café, then make our ways to the Cliffs of Moher. Afterwards we'll continue onward via the Burren Coast Road with the opportunity to do a walk on the actual rocks near the coast. Our guide will show us the flora, fauna and geology. We will spend the night in Galway.
Today we will board the Aran ferries to Kilmurvey. Once we're all there, we'll walk across a Burren-like landscape up to Dún Aengus. Afterwards we'll board the return ferry and take a cruise round the bottom of the Cliffs of Moher (not yet a well-known route). We will spend the night in Galway again.
Today we will leave Galway and travel through Central Connemara, out to the beautiful Kylemore Abbey, then on via the lonely and unspoiled Doolough valley to Westport where we stay two nights. Here we will have an evening trad session in Matt Molloy's.
We will travel from Westport to Achill Island and tour there. There we wil explore Ashleam Bay, Slievemore Deserted Village, and Keem Beach We will enjoy lunch in the award-winning Beehive restaurant at Keel.
We leave Westport and head for the National Museum of Folk and Country Life at Straide, then on up to Sligo and Co. Donegal, past Ben Bulben and Strandhill. In the afternoon we'll scoot up the Barnesmore Gap and Letterkenny, up to Glenveagh National Park where we get a tour of the castle and gardens. That evening we head to the "flagship" stay of the tour, Lough Eske Castle, for a fine dining evening meal and accommodations.
We leave Lough Eske and head to Omagh, where we see the Ulster-American Folk Park, which shows how people emigrated from here to the USA years ago. Then on to an award-winning local lunch cafe in Monaghan for a final lunch! Transfer back to the Dublin Airport for return flights home.
